He specializes in psychoacoustics – the study of the effects of music and sound on the human nervous system, and bioacoustics – specifically, how human sound affects animals. His books include The Power of Sound, Through a Dog’s Ear, and Sonic Alchemy. His latest book, Soundwork on a Hot Rock will be published in 2024.

Joshua’s 50+ application-specific soundtracks are used in clinics, classrooms, homes, and animal-care facilities worldwide.

He is currently on the faculty of The Shift Network’s Sacred Sound Healer Training Program. Previous teaching positions include San Francisco’s California Institute of Integral Studies and The New York Open Center.

Mandara Cromwell

Mandara Cromwell, D.C.M. (Doctorate of Cymatic Medicine), is an American woman entrepreneur and inventor, who is the CEO and President of Cyma Technologies, the manufacturing company for her own inventions – the AMI Acoustic Meridian Intelligence devices. The AMI 750, an advanced sound technology device, was nominated for the Thomas Edison Award for Innovation in the Fields of Science and Medicine in 2013. In 2002, she coined the term “Cymatherapy” to refer to wave therapy based on the work of Dr. Peter Guy Manners, with whom she studied extensively. She continues to promote sound as a healing modality throughout the world. As a way of forwarding the field of vibrational medicine (specifically sound therapy), Ms. Cromwell founded (ISTA) the International Sound Therapy Association. Since 2006, the organization has been producing conferences to bring new voices together in the field of “sound science.” Ongoing classes, trainings and programs are offered by ISTA and Cyma Technologies in numerous cities throughout the US.

In 2017, she produced the Atlanta conference “Cymatics: The Art and Science of Making Sound Visible,” which featured never before seen sound-made-visible images of the healing frequencies found in her own sound therapy devices. She acted as co-producer on two short films created at the University of Florida utilizing cymatic images: “dance divine” featuring dance, yoga and the sound images, as well as “Full of Stars” a short film showing three dimensional views of the healing frequencies. In 2019, she released her first book, “Soundflower: The Journey to Marry Science and Spirit,” which includes many stunning cyma glyph illustrations.

Mike Tamburo

Mike Tamburo is a world-renowned musician, composer, artist and educator. He is known and loved for his transformational live concerts performed on his personally curated set of gongs, bells and other metal instruments.

A lifelong multi-instrumentalist, Tamburo has focused his talents on metal percussion instruments, string instruments (hammered dulcimer, guitar, zither, shahi baaja), as well as electronic instruments (synths, looping).

Since 1994, Tamburo has shared more than 2,000 concerts and workshops. He has recorded over 70 albums, both solo and in collaboration with Crown of Eternity, Meisha, Arco Flute Foundation, Psychic Frost, Brother Ong and more, ranging from epic gong music to ecstatic and transcendental string music, as well as folk, drone, space rock, ambient, mantra music and sometimes unclassifiable sounds. This man loves music in all its forms!

He teaches gong music, both in person and online with School of Gong. He is also a part of the far-reaching ethnomusicology trio, Dig Deeper, with Mitch Nur and Thomas Orr Anderson. Their online classes have explored countless musical concepts with a focus on the cultural and personal uses of sound for healing, meditation, trance, ecstatic states, relaxation, self transformation, perception, psycho-acoustics, scientific discovery, time and community.

An early adoptee of meditation, Tamburo’s music offers space for journeying, self-exploration and deep introspection. During many of his early performances, he experienced altered states of consciousness and out of body experiences. To understand these experiences, he explored kundalini yoga, energy work, the therapeutic use of sound and how sound impacts consciousness, human perception and self healing. His love for long sustained drones, overtones and psychoacoustics continues to inspire him to explore music in further directions.

Tamburo is also an interdisciplinary sound artist, instrument builder, video artist, sound therapist, writer and meditation teacher.

Siubhan Clark

Siubhan began using sound therapy as part of her Reiki practice in 2019. It felt like a natural extension of the energetic healing of reiki to utilize Crystal Singing Bowls tuned to the specific frequency of each chakra. She then began using Chakra tuning forks when she traveled to Ireland to work with her Competitive Irish Dance clients who were attending overseas competitions, because bringing the singing bowls with her would have been too difficult.

As a Yoga Teacher, Siubhan began introducing singing bowls in a class setting and realized the profound healing her students received from the sound and vibration of the bowls.

With a desire for more knowledge of this healing medium, Siubhan enrolled in the Celtic School of Sound Healing in Dublin Ireland in the fall of 2022. She completed this year-long course in September 2023 having received certifications in Advanced Sound Therapy, Advanced Sound Bath Facilitation, Celtic Shamanism, and Gong Master.

Siubhan offers one on one Reiki Healing and Sound Therapy as well as group Sound Bath Healings and Yoga classes in Chester County PA.

Frank Gomez

Frank Gómez is the Creative Director of Empowered Marketing. He is a WordPress Expert & Graphic Designer

Empowered Marketing started with the founder, Frank Gómez, wanting to understand how things work. Frank was an active and curious child. His mother was happy when his nap time came each day as she was able to get a rest. Unfortunately after two years he began to take his energy to the crib and did not rest well. In the interest of her relaxation, she placed a transistor radio in his crib. She thought that the knobs and buttons would occupy and silence him for a while. Finally, after the radio was placed in his hands, the room became quiet. Mrs. Gómez assumed that he finally began to sleep. She was thankful that she got the rest she needed. That is until she went into his room to gather him from his nap. Rather than find him sleeping she found him holding a completely deconstructed radio, wires springing out and parts all over the mattress. Frank’s father says this was a sign of things to come. Ever since Frank has tinkered to see how things work. Understanding how things work leads to Technical Excellence™.

After starting an engineering job in his 20’s he realized that he liked design. He taught himself AutoCad and started doing engineering drawings for a naval architecture firm and doing side work as an amateur graphic designer. Within a few years he started building websites and learned more about graphic design and marketing.

Since its genesis, Empowered Marketing’s technical excellence distances its products’ performance from its competitors. Websites are nimbly able to attract and retain clients. Websites are hosted on a premium web hosting platform built for speed and security.

In 2019 he made a commitment to develop accessible websites (websites that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act) and has performed accessibility remediations on many websites. Also, he is committed to Sustainable Web Design and using best practices which has served him and his clients well.

Empowered Marketing’s mission is: “We Empower You with Insights, Best in Class Technology and Impeccable Customer Support.”
